About this property

Resting in an idyllic position, with all you could need for a wonderful self-catered stay just a short stroll away, 'Why Not' Cottage makes a fantastic escape for families or groups of friends in pursuit of a relaxing escape to the Scottish coast. Resting in the wonderful town of Macduff with stunning sea views, this old fishing house is a true delight. Park up in your off-road parking space and soak up the remarkable seascapes, before passing through the enclosed garden and into your inviting abode. Make your way into the living/dining room where you can gather together on the sofas in front of the fire and create a fun-filled itinerary for your trip ahead, while the dining table makes the perfect spot to indulge in a homemade meal or get stuck into a board game! Move through into the kitchen to find a good host of appliances to assist you on your self-catered stay, including a dishwasher and even a washing machine in the external building where you can also find a convenient WC and basin! On the ground floor rests one of three bedrooms; a double served by a shower room, while the first floor hosts both a twin and a single resting beneath the sloping eaves of the cottage, accompanied by the stylish family bathroom. Spend time together in the garden with your canine companion by your side, the raised decking making the perfect place to dine alfresco and make the most of your beautiful surroundings at any time of the year. Take a stroll to explore your local surroundings; Macduff's very own aquarium is adjacent to the property where you can explore the UK’s one of a kind kelp reef exhibit, obverse baby sharks at the shark hatchery and simply make the most of the wonderful sea life of the Moray Firth, before exploring the old pier and harbour up close with some traditional fish and chips. Macduff is home to a good selection of shops, pubs and eateries, as well as boasting the Royal Tarlair Golf Club with 18 holes of spectacular scenery, as well as the equally impressive Duff House Royal Golf Club resting beyond the River Deveron in Banff where you will also find the wonder of Duff House, an imposing Georgian manor house with rotating art exhibits alongside even more waterside eateries. The RSPB Scotland Troup Head can be found via a scenic drive offering remarkable vistas and a plethora of nature awaiting to be discovered, as well as Elgin and even Aberdeen being accessible by car for those seeking adventure further afield. In the perfect position for an idyllic escape to Scotland, whether it be a family holiday or a last minute weekend break, choose 'Why Not' Cottage for a memorable stay at any time of the year.

Macduff is a charming town resting on Banff Bay overlooking the beauty of the town of Banff, making it an extremely scenic base from which to explore the coast of Scotland.
