Newtonhill 1.8 miles. The Bothy is a detached, stone property sitting on an elevated position, overlooking beautiful farmland, a stunning coast and the neighbouring village of Newtonhill. Located next to the main house, The Steading, this property is a lovely spot to call home while exploring the northeast of Scotland with friends and family. After a day of rambling, get comfortable within the open-plan living space, housing a welcoming sofa for three, an armchair and a TV for entertainment, plus a dining table for mealtimes. Order in a local takeaway or take advantage of the kitchen appliances, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and even a washing machine, so you can put your muddy clothes on a quick spin. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom with bath and shower over, so you can enjoy lazy soaks and refreshing rinses as you please. Heading upstairs you will find two bedrooms, including the master with French doors leading out to a private balcony with outstanding views, while there is also a twin which is perfect for children.In total the Bothy affords 60 square meters over two floors. The Bothy's private outdoor space is a secluded spot to dine alfresco at the outdoor seating, admire the views of The Steading's attractive ponds with Koi Carp, Guests are welcome to make shared use of The Steading's extensive garden grounds. The popular Cammies Seafood restaurant serving local cuisine is in the village of West Cammachmore located a 20 minute walk away. Your nearest amenities can be found a short journey away in Newtonhill, home to a supermarket, café, convenience store and pharmacy, as well as two welcoming pubs and a rocky bay to explore caves, rock pools and admire the surrounding fisherman huts. Be sure to visit Stonehaven during your stay at The Bothy; Dunnottar Castle is a fascinating, historic site with stories to uncover, stroll along the scenic harbour or take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool. The wonderful city of Aberdeen lies in the north, where a bustling harbour welcomes you for an afternoon at the Maritime Museum, a wander through one of 45 parks and gardens, or take a spooky tour of the city with Aberdeen Ghost Walks, stopping off at some of the most historical landmarks in the area and learning about their exciting past. Before returning to The Bothy, visit Banchory, the start of the Royal Deeside boasting two golf clubs, the 16th-century fairy-tale like Crathes Castle, and The Barn, an intimate space staging traditional and contemporary events. The Bothy is a lovely little property, well-placed for touring north-east Scotland. EPC Rating: Band C
