Brae of Airlie Farm offers a charming, spacious stay with stunning views and a peaceful rural setting. Guests appreciate the extensive gardens, interesting book collection, and the presence of a games room. The property's character and warmth are noted, alongside its potential for being a truly exceptional retreat with some refurbishment.
The property is generally described as clean, with guests mentioning 'lovely fluffy white towels and clean bedding'. However, some guests noted areas that could be improved, such as a 'grubby' appearance and a 'foul smell' from behind the fridge, suggesting room for better attention to detail.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views, quietness, and proximity to local attractions. Guests enjoyed the rural setting and the wildlife sightings, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful retreat.
Comfort receives mixed reviews. While some guests found the property 'very clean and comfortable', others mentioned 'uncomfortable' beds and seating. The warmth of the property was appreciated, but the need for additional or updated furniture was a recurring theme.
Facilities like the games room, book collection, and cooking equipment are well-received, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues, such as missing game pieces, non-functional appliances, and a need for refurbishment. The presence of two fridges and a freezer was noted positively.
