About this property

Lena's Corner is a delightful ground-floor apartment settled into the coastal town of Dunoon, with a close by beach, pub, and convenience store. Sporting a woodburning stove and local walks, this property is ideal for a couple looking to explore Argyll and Bute. Be welcomed into a beautifully-styled property with oak flooring and enter into an amply fitted kitchen with all of the home-from-home amenities needed to cook up a storm. Put your feet up in the living/dining room, resting beside the woodburning stove, adding ambience from an exposed-brick fireplace, and here there is a dining table for two where guests can enjoy a meal and a glass of fizz. When sleep calls, freshen up in the bathroom with either a shower or a warm soak in the tub, before cosying up in the king-size bedroom. Outside, make the most of the sunshine with a coffee in the patio space, or take a picnic on the communal lawns. Dunoon is a delightful seaside town, offering a great many independent shops, convenience stores for your holiday essentials, cafés, pubs, and eateries, with options including The Lorne Dunoon, Blacks of Dunoon, Chatters Restaurant, Walkers Home and Garden Centre and Blairmore Cafe at Blairmore. The town offers coastal strolls at the local sandy beach, West Bay, as well as the Castle House Museum and close by Cowal Golf Club. Walks through the scenery can be found in abundance, with options including Kilbride Hill, Bishops Seat, Puck’s Glen, and walks throughout the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. There are plenty of walks and cycle tracks nearby, as well as visits to many near by lochs, where there are walks, birdwatching opportunities, and boat trips. Watersports activities can be found at Rothesay, whilst Glasgow is within reach, offering an art gallery, botanic gardens, a museum, and shopping opportunities. All of this and so much more with a stay at Lena's Corner.

The traditional resort town of Dunoon sits on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll on the west coast of Scotland. Accessible by both land and sea, the trip to Dunoon can either be a ferry crossing over the Firth of Clyde, considered to be one of the best sailing areas in the world, or by a drive through spectacular scenery of dramatic mountains and lochs, each more breathtaking than the last. The area boasts a full calendar of events from food and music festivals to sailing regattas and a well-known Highland Gathering. Dunoon itself boasts many bars, coffee shops and restaurants offering local seafood as well as a high street of mainly independent shops offering a refreshingly different shopping experience. Benmore Botanic Garden is well worth a visit with its walled garden, imposing Giant Sequoia trees and hillside walks affording views over Holy Loch, renowned for its shipbuilding tradition and which, for many years, was a US Navy submarine base. With excellent walking, sailing and scenery to be enjoyed, and Glasgow around an hour's drive away, there is something to delight everyone in this truly beautiful part of Scotland.

Fortunately, Lena's Corner is a clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet and warm flat. So an excellent stay. We would only suggest a more powerful lighting in the living room to be able to read more easily on a very grey day. And... if you want to watch Netflix or other sites, don't forget to bring your passwords.

Everything is really comfortable, especially the bed. My dog loved the treats, and all the walks on the beach.

The standard of the decor and the level of comfort was amazing. It’s was lovely and clean and easy to keep clean and there were dog bowls and towels also cling film, foil, kitchen roll and toilet rolls… a really nice touch. I would stay there again.
