Upper Brackendale is consistently praised for its cleanliness, tranquil location, and comfortable accommodation. Guests appreciate the peaceful garden with wildlife, the proximity to Loch Etive, and the welcoming atmosphere. The property is well-equipped for a self-catering stay, and the thoughtful touches, such as welcome baskets, enhance the experience. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas.
The property is repeatedly described as 'spotlessly clean'. One review mentioned the oven needed cleaning, but this seems an isolated comment amidst overwhelming positivity regarding cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to Loch Etive, and the availability of local walks. It is also appreciated for being a good base for exploring the West of Scotland.
Numerous reviews mention the property being comfortable, roomy, and a 'home from home'. The only minor negative comment related to the smell of a log burner, which does not significantly detract from the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and the property having everything needed for a stay. The mention of the oven needing cleaning and the lack of kitchen roll and tin foil suggest room for improvement.
Guests frequently mention the welcome baskets and homemade pancakes, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Brilliant facilities. Great hosts.

Kitchen roll & tin foil would have been useful. The oven needed to be cleaned. Mostly it was fine but we have had better accommodation.

It was very well equipped and had everything you would want on holiday. We especially enjoyed the bird feeders, seeing a woodpecker, two red squirrels and a variety of small birds most days. Sadly the weather wasnât good enough to enjoy the lovely back garden, but we had a good time anyway!
