Furnished and decorated to a high standard and situated in the small village of Carrutherstown just off the A75, it is perfect for exploring the area.
Smithy House is spacious with a delightful living room with a cosy wood burner, which leads to the dining room, the perfect place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. The kitchen and utility room leads out to the rear garden which is ideal for your four legged friends too. Smithy House is not only perfect for your four legged friend but it also offers the perfect spot for you to relax outside in the private hot tub or inside beside the warming wood burning stove. So whatever the weather or time of year Smithy House is the ideal place to be.
Perfectly located for touring this beautiful area, Smithy Cottage is within a short drive of the stunning Solway coastline, with over 200 miles of stunning and dramatic coastline with secluded little bays and sandy beaches, supreme mountain biking and challenging hill walks. There are several excellent golf courses in the area including the championship course at Southerness. For shopping the county town of Dumfries is only 8 miles away with a variety of high street shops. Best of all if you want to totally relax on holiday with no cooking, enjoy a drink and meal in the hotel right next door to Smithy Cottage. Beach 6 miles. Shop 7 miles. Pub and restaurant 20 yards.. 2 steps to entrance.

Amazing stay at Smithy House, everything has been thought of to make this holiday home feel more like a home from home. Lots of space and the hot tub was amazing. The owner was easily contactable and got back to me quickly to answer any queries. The house itself is absolutely stunning and it is so nice to read all about the history of Smithy House. The house is 10 minutes from a lovely, scenic beach. 15 minutes drive to Dumfries & Annan where you will find big supermarkets and other amenities.I will highly recommend to anybody who will listen and hopefully we will be back sooner rather than later.

The owners were so lovely, and kept in contact to ensure we had everything we needed. They even recommend places for us to go out for food! The pictures do not do the house justice, it was so beautiful. Would 1000% go back here in the future and fully recommend.
