Perfectly placed in a country side setting on the outskirts of the historic market towns of Castle Douglas and Dumfries. Both towns offer shopping and are home to several good restaurants and friendly country pubs. Solway Firth coastline is only a short drive away, with Sandyhills, Southerness and Powillimount beaches. For the more active, walking, hiking and cycling routes are nearby and the famous Seven Stanes mountain bike trail. There are many attractions in the area for all, including Caerlaverock, Threave and Drumlanrig castles, Robert Burns house, numerous golf courses and wildlife reserves. Step inside this lovely lodge into the hall, kick off your shoes and head through to the spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with lovely countryside views. The lounge area has comfy sofas to sink in to whilst watching the TV. On warm evenings throw open the French doors that lead directly out to the decked balcony with seating area. Cook up a meal in the kitchen that s well equipped with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Enjoy a cooked meal at the dining table and plan the next day s adventures. Next is the master king size bedroom with TV and en suite bathroom with a lovely free standing bath, large separate shower and WC. Completing the accommodation is the handy separate WC. Venture outside to the spacious decked area with seating and soak up the amazing views, or pour a glass of bubbly and relax in the private hot tub located to the rear of lodge.
