Faldarroch Farm is a well-received cottage, praised for its cosy atmosphere, underfloor heating, and beautiful, secluded location. Guests appreciate the blend of traditional charm and modern conveniences, as well as the well-equipped kitchen and lovely gardens. The presence of friendly donkeys and local wildlife adds to the property's appeal. While some minor maintenance issues and comfort preferences are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The cottage is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with high-quality furnishings. One isolated mention of out-of-date biscuits suggests a minor oversight, but overall, the cleanliness is of a very high standard.
The location is highly praised for its quietness, seclusion, and proximity to wildlife and nature. It is deemed perfect for exploring the Galloway region, although the remote setting may not suit everyone.
Guests find the cottage warm and the beds comfortable, with underfloor heating mentioned positively. Some guests noted the furniture could be more comfortable and the double bed may need a new mattress, slightly affecting the comfort score.
The property is well-equipped with a modern kitchen, EV charger, and good Wi-Fi. However, some guests reported minor maintenance issues like a dripping tap and a partially blocked basin, indicating room for improvement.
Guests were touched by the welcome pack and fresh flowers, although there is a mention of out-of-date biscuits. It's important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Perfect also for colder days with the underfloor heating. Very quiet and calm and a great place to discover the lovely landscape of Galloway, also perfect for cycling! Very friendly owner whu supported us by solving the problems with the Wifi... Perfect to come back!

Had all the facilities we needed and all worked. Only problem we had was that our children were young and the height of the beds above a flagged floor was a bit of an issue for littlies prone to falling out of bed. We laid blankets on the floor and were OK! Beautiful quiet area and the donkeys were the highlight of our stay.
