If history is not your thing, you can still enjoy the delights of the local fishing industry by sampling the menu at the famous Anstruther Fish Bar, which has won many awards over the years, including UK Fish and Chip Shop of the Year.
After exploring the quaint cobbled streets and browsing the shops, take a boat trip from the harbour to the Isle of May, a nature reserve in the Firth of Forth.
