Perfectly placed for taking on the attractions of the Highland Capital, Alturlie is a great choice for families or two couples in need of a long-awaited getaway. Arriving at the property, there is a sough-after off-road parking space directly outside, but with so much in walking distance, you’ll hardly need the car all week! Step into the kitchen/diner, fitted with the necessary mod cons for a well-equipped break, and even a washing machine so you can wash your muddy clothes straight away! Freshen up in the shower room before retiring to the bedrooms, offering a king-size and a 4ft double, each presented in a neutral finish with wooden storage. To the outside of this Inverness cottage is an enclosed lawned garden and patio, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee before you venture into the city centre, looking out for a delicious café serving breakfast. There are also a wealth of quality restaurants and lively pubs to enjoy in the evenings. Meander along the banks of the river and cross the popular Ness Islands, over the iconic suspension bridge and back into town. For a spot of history, visit the landmark of Balnain House, originally used as a field hospital during the Battle of Culloden in 1746, or venture to the well-known Inverness Castle, overlooking the River Ness, where you can head up to the Castle Viewpoint attraction to experience amazing views of the city. While in the area, be sure to visit the legendary Loch Ness, offering a variety of boat trips, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery whilst trying to spot the iconic Nessie lurking in the water. You may also find the time to visit North Kessock, just over five miles away, where you can admire views along the North Kessock Community Pier and stop for a sweet bite at White Cottage Tea Room.
