Otter Lodge is highly praised for its tranquil setting in the Northern Highlands, offering a comfortable and peaceful retreat with spacious, well-equipped accommodation. Guests appreciate the modern amenities, the surrounding wildlife, and the lodge's proximity to local activities. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain conveniences are noted, the overall experience is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.
The lodge generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it clean and well-kept. However, a few guests mentioned minor issues such as dirt in the shower and outside area, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is consistently lauded for its beauty and tranquillity, with guests enjoying the natural surroundings and wildlife. Its proximity to activities and attractions in the area also contributes to its high rating.
Guests find the lodge comfortable, with spacious bedrooms and a cosy wood-fired stove. The presence of a modern and well-appointed interior adds to the comfort level, although some guests noted issues with mirrors and seating.
While the lodge is appreciated for its amenities, several guests reported issues with appliances, Wi-Fi, and heating. The need for more kitchenware suitable for the maximum number of guests and minor maintenance concerns slightly lower the score.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The location is lovely, very secluded but yet only a short drive to Aviemore. The accommodation is well equipped and clean and spacious. There is a bike wash off facility and also bike lock up facilities at the lodge which was a great additional feature. Cots and high chairs were available for use too which was handy not having to take our own. Itâs also very quiet and peaceful location. The only downside is the WiFi is shared with the other lodges (I dont remember this being stated on the listing) so you canât stream on the tv - we like to YouTube areas we are interested in visiting before we go, so may not be an issue to others. Also otter lodge is furthest away from the car park, so a small inconvenience dragging your stuff from the car to the lodge. We would definitely stay here again.

Would stay there again. Could do with a decent cheese grater
