Dailfearn Lodge is a delightful lodge-style property situated in a superb location, just a short stroll from the banks of Loch Carron. The lodge, with its own private patio decking, is set in the extensive grounds of a country house. The main living area is open-plan with a wood burner and two large patio doors overlooking the pretty gardens. With solid wood flooring, underfloor heating and two bright and attractively presented bedrooms, it is ideal for couples and small families seeking a quiet location in the heart of Wester Ross. With no mobile phone signal or internet connection, you can really escape from it all here at Dailfearn Lodge.
It is situated in a quiet no-through lane that leads down to the sea loch, with stunning views across the bay to the Isle of Skye, Plockton and Applecross peninsula. There are superb walks direct from the property, and with the Torridon mountains, the Skye Cuillins, MacLeod’s Tables and the Five Sisters of Kintail mountain ranges all within easy reach; hill walkers’ and climbers are spoilt for choice. The picture postcard village of Plockton is just 10 minutes’ away, made famous as being the venue for the television series Hamish Macbeth, it is well worth a visit. With its picturesque flower-filled gardens, little winding streets and pretty cottages lining the foreshore, it is easy to see why it has also become a haunt for artists. The surrounding area offers a wealth of activities, places of interest and historic sites. The fairytale castle of Eilean Donan, enchantingly situated on a promontory in the loch and accessed by a small causeway, is a short drive away. A spectacular route takes you past this famous castle and through the amazing mountain range known as the Five Sisters of Kintail, and beautiful Glen Shiel, before reaching the shores of Loch Ness.
There are 5 steps to the entrance. Large landscaped gardens shared with owner, with a private decking area. Due to location of property there is no Wi-Fi or mobile service.
