This charming and characterful former church hall in Tomintoul provides a perfect base for guests to explore the stunning Cairngorms National Park. Situated in a very popular village, this all ground floor cottage is surrounded by miles and miles of open countryside, yet is ideally situated close to a friendly local store and village pub. There are four stylish bedrooms, three of which all have en-suite facilities, along with a family shower room. The main living area has a high beamed ceiling, a beautifully preserved wooden floor and a large multi-fuel stove. At one end of this room is an impressive dining table where meals can be enjoyed together before guests can move to the leather sofas that surround the stove and simply relax by the glow of the fire. Double doors lead from the living area into a large and well-equipped kitchen, and on the other side of the room are French doors giving access to a private south facing patio. From Tomintoul village, easy access can be gained to many parts of the beautiful highlands of Scotland, with a trip into Royal Deeside visiting the famous villages of Braemar and Ballater making a wonderful day out. Pick up the Malt Whisky Trail and visit some of the many distilleries along the route, or for the more active, head to the hills, lochs and forests to simply soak up the fabulous scenery and wildlife that the area has to offer. Tomintoul is an attractive village situated on the northern slopes of the Cairngorms National Park, and at 1160ft, it has the title of the Highest Village in the Highlands. Tomintoul has shops and a pub, and is situated on the main road between Royal Deeside and the Highlands, making it an excellent base for exploring all that the region has to offer.
