Facilities at The Lodge are highly rated, with special mentions of the well-equipped kitchen, efficient heating system, and the generous supply of logs for the fire. The only minor drawback noted was the lack of Wi-Fi in one review, but this did not significantly impact the overall high ratings.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is frequently acknowledged, with guests delighted by the welcome packs. While these treats are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Located on the banks of the Ericht River, Blairgowrie is a red sandstone town in Strathmore, Scotland. A great place to begin your exploration of Perthshire and the Angus Glens, it has a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes. The town is surrounded by rolling fields known for their berries and is the main link to Scotland's largest ski resort, Glenshee, which is perched atop hills and mountains. Horseback riding, cycling, mountain biking, and hill walking are all possible in the surrounding countryside, while golfers can choose from a number of top-notch courses (including Rosemount) in the area. Gleneagles, Carnoustie, and St. Andrews are all within a few hours' drive. Glamis Castle, the setting for Macbeth and reputedly Scotland's most haunted castle, is home to the world's tallest beech hedge (600 metres long and 30 metres high), a collection of Pictish sculptured stones from Meikleour. With its historic cathedral, riverside walks, and towering trees like the Birnam Oak and parent Larches of Dunkeld, Dunkeld is a charming small town that is well worth a visit. The Hermitage, meanwhile, is home to a series of stunning waterfalls. Many woodlands in the area are home to a wide variety of wildlife, including red squirrels, foxes, deer, swifts, goldcrests, and buzzards, as well as breeding Ospreys.

It was very comfortable and well equipped. Welcome pack from host was great. Hosts were on hand and offered help with our shopping on a very snowy day which was really nice. Looking forward to returning and would highly recommend.

It was clean, tidy and very comfortable with little things like towels being provided making life so much simpler, the treats on arrival were amazing and after a 400 mile trip to the Lodge a welcome surprise, Blairgowrie is a short drive away which gives you all the shops you will need along with some lovely restaurants, Dunkeld is 15 minutes in the opposite direction providing some lovely walks and further access to the highlands. We would not hesitate to go back to The Lodge and cannot praise it highly enough.
