Fully restyled and renovated from the original keeper’s cottage, this fabulous holiday property has been finished to a superb standard offering quality accommodation surrounded by some truly spectacular scenery. Keeper’s Cottage can accommodate up to eight people, with bedrooms on the ground and first floors and each offering a choice of twin or super king-size doubles. One of the bedrooms on the ground floor and one on the first floor also have en-suite shower rooms. The main open plan living area has a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a seating area with a cosy woodburning stove and picture windows overlooking the river and the mountains beyond. With underfloor heating throughout, this beautiful cottage has been designed to allow you to relax in comfort and explore the magical surroundings, and with over 5,000 acres of sheep and deer estate outside your front door, there is much to explore. The beautiful estate grounds were also where some scenes for the Outlander TV series were filmed. From the sitting area inside the cottage, there are doors leading outside to a decked area where you can relax and enjoy a refreshing drink whilst enjoying the views. Walk Schiehallion, one of the famous Munros, which sits almost at the exact centre of Scotland. The awesome Cairngorms National Park is on your doorstep and has world-class walking, cycling and snowsports. Visit the attractive towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl with its famous castle and distillery. A fabulous highland holiday cottage with something for everyone at any time of the year.
Kinloch Rannoch grew from a tiny hamlet in the mid 18th century under James Small who had served in Lord Loudons Regiment and which consisted of discharged army soldiers and crofters who had lost their land. Roads and bridges were improved to allow ease of movement for soldiers at the nearby Rannoch Barracks.
