Located on the second floor, the apartment consists of two cosy bedrooms, a bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen and a stylish sitting/dining room with a French door leading to a Juliet balcony, a lovely spot to pull up a chair and take in the surrounding views. A short walk from your apartment will take you to Gun Knowe Loch with a shop. Tweedbank Station is less than half a mile from this apartment, and the last stop on the Waverly Line, now The Borders Railway. The line connects Tweedbank to the centre of historic Edinburgh; with a short train journey of less than an hour winding its way through picturesque Borders countryside, some of the most beautiful in the UK. Tweedbank is an ideal starting point for exploring nearby Galashiels, Melrose and the Borders countryside. Abbotsford House, the stunning home of Sir Walter Scott is less than a mile away, and with the Southern Upland Way and the Borders Abbeys Way providing superb walking. Cyclists will enjoy the trails at the nearby Glentress Mountain Bike Centre and book lovers can visit The Borders Book Festival which is held in nearby Melrose in the month of June.
