Alternatively, drive a short distance in the opposite direction to explore the scenic Galloway Forest Park, where you can find lots of fishing spots and walking and cycling trails amongst live deer, or enjoy a picnic at the stunning Stinchar Bridge waterfall. Also in driving distance is the town of Ayr, which is home to the historical Wallace Tower and Miller's Folly, a popular racecourse with live events, and a sandy beach, which is surrounded by shops, bars, eateries and an entertainment centre.
