Set in the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, with views over Loch Ard to Ben Lomond and the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. . Ground Floor:

Bedroom 2: With double bed and en-suite with shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.

Bedroom 4: With twin beds and en-suite with shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail. . Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot and highchair. External utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.. 2-acre garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking. Please note: The garden has sloping banks, drops and access to the loch. . Creag-Ard House is the perfect location for friends and family to spend time together. The Victorian mansion dates back to 1887 and has been tastefully furnished to incorporate many of the original features, and guests have a private wing of the owner’s holiday home. With lots of space for guests to enjoy, including a bright hall with a traditional staircase and a comfortable large living room with bay window, which has super views and is perfect for everyone to relax together or plan the day’s activities. The kitchen/dining room is well-equipped for preparing a celebration meal and on the first floor are four en-suite bedrooms, three with double beds and one twin bedroom. An external utility and boot room is a good place to store boots and coats.
There is lots of outdoor space for guests to explore - the patio with garden furniture is ideal for alfresco eating, and there are 3 acres of grounds to explore, where guests have access to Loch Ard and The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park just across the road. For guests who enjoy outdoor activities, this is the perfect location and from your front door you have access to miles of foot paths and cycle ways through some of the most scenic and unspoilt countryside. Loch Ard is perfect for watersports with places to launch sailing boats and kayaks and a popular spot for wild swimming.
If you can bear to leave the house and grounds, guests will find themselves in the perfect location for exploring the local area and beyond. The popular holiday village of Aberfoyle is just over a mile away and is a good place to pick up supplies with a small supermarket, local shops, cafés and restaurants. The local golf club has one of the most scenic courses in Scotland and there are several other local courses within an hour’s drive including the championship courses at Gleneagles. Nearby Loch Katrine offers cruises on the historic steam boat ‘SS Sir Walter Scott’, with various events including jazz, firework displays and pirate cruises and the loch side is a safe place to cycle and walk around the loch.
For a day out, Stirling, which is a under an hour’s drive, is home to many popular tourist attractions which include the Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and The Battle of Bannockburn Experience, plenty of places to eat and drink or go shopping. For younger guests Blair Drummond Safari Park and the Wool Centre in Aberfoyle has much to keep them amused. From this idyllic location the vibrant cities of Perth and Glasgow can be reach in just over an hour’s drive with Edinburgh being an hour and a half, ideal for spending time at the festival or exploring the city. Welcoming, spacious and light, Creag-Ard House is a super property that can be enjoyed for family get-togethers, celebrations and reunions, whatever the weather at any time of year.
