Fois House is highly praised for its tranquil location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, thoughtful touches like homemade flapjacks, and the property's suitability for walkers and dogs. The surrounding nature and wildlife add to the charm, although some guests noted minor issues with Wi-Fi and hot water availability.
Guests consistently report that Fois House is very clean, with only a single mention of stained bedsheets. The overall high standard of cleanliness contributes to the positive experiences.
The location is frequently described as tranquil and ideal for nature lovers, with easy access to walks and local attractions. Some guests were disappointed by the distance to the nearest loch and the lack of a pub/restaurant due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The property is often described as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with a homely feel and comfy beds. The only minor discomfort mentioned relates to managing the indoor temperature during an unusually warm period.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and powerful showers. However, some guests encountered issues with Wi-Fi, hot water supply for consecutive showers, and a blocked vacuum. The presence of a washing machine, despite being listed otherwise, was a pleasant surprise.
Many guests mention thoughtful gestures such as homemade flapjacks and bird feeders, which enhanced their stay. It should be noted that while such personal touches are appreciated, they may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Would give a five star if there was better internet reception.

Initially we got lost en route as lost phone and Internet signal (not the owners fault at all, the info to follow was clear enough). Very pleased when we arrived. Although we brought a Border Terrier and he could easily negate the gate escape. Larger dog would get stuck. No problem as we brought a long lead (he likes to watch outside when we weren't out and about). Showers are good, one single base noted to owner in maintenance but other than that, rooms are comfortable. A little warm, fan came in handy. Maybe a long mirror in hallway upstairs or one room would be a good addition. (Weather was fabulous and made for sitting on the decking). Comfortable lounge and a huge kitchen dining space with a comfortable sofa too. Don't want to say more as it was a hidden gem. Thank you Sue â¤
