Ael Y Bryn is a well-received cottage, praised for its comfort, well-equipped kitchen, and homely atmosphere. Guests appreciate its dog-friendly features and secure garden, as well as its peaceful location ideal for exploring Anglesey. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights were mentioned, the swift response from the owner and the overall charm of the cottage have left many guests eager to return.

The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with several guests finding it spotless and well-prepared. However, a few guests noted issues with dog hair, a clogged vacuum, and some dirty dishes, suggesting room for improvement in this area.

The location is highly praised for its quiet setting, proximity to local amenities, and easy access to nearby attractions. It is considered an ideal base for exploring Anglesey and the surrounding regions.

Many guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with special mentions of comfy beds and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The provision of dog blankets and feeding bowls adds to the comfort for pet owners.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches. However, some guests encountered maintenance issues such as a failing oven and a lack of instructions for appliances, which impacted the score.

The owners are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing amenities such as dog bowls and blankets, and occasionally Welsh cakes as a welcome gesture. While such gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

We didn’t have any issue with dogs escaping the garden as commented on by previous users, the field behind the hedge had no animals in it so our dogs weren’t tempted to explore further! Lots of home comforts here, kitchen full of everything you need and plenty of games, books etc. excellent WiFi if you need it. The cottage is in a quiet residential lane, note the walk to and from the High Street is a bit of a climb if you have mobility issues but there’s plenty of parking there. Very relaxing place to stay.

Unfortunately little or no improvement in the outside space and access to the back door since our comments following our previous visit a month ago. Lawn area still overgrown, surrounding ivy, brambles etc still encroaching on paths especially path from gate to back door which is the most convenient to use. Upturned food bin, Pyrex unwashed casserole and flower pot all just outside back door amongst the weeds and undergrowth. Such lack of care and attention doesn’t make the outside space an attractive prospect when the summer months give opportunities to use the garden furniture for fresh air and sunshine. Photos available if required. 2 hours general clearing and tidying would present a cared for, well maintained and attractive outdoor space.

Does need fencing to secure garden, farm animals are the other side. Three or four holes found. Was alot of webs, and needed a thorough clean. All in all, quiet and peaceful with lots of walks. Would recommend.
