In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the northern tip of Anglesey, Llanfechell is a tiny community that is 1.5 miles from Cemaes Bay. The nearby 12th-century Mechell Church, which has been expanded over the years and is said to be the location of St. Mechell's burial, is where the village derives its name. The area is well-liked by geologists and archaeologists because of the rock formations at Mechell Mountain and the numerous ancient monuments dispersed about, some of which are said to be among the oldest in the world. The ancient Parys Mountain copper mines, with their lunar-like scenery, are seven miles away.

The accommodation was spotless. Initially we couldn't get the log burner or the hot tub on, but the speed with which the owners turned up and fixed this was brilliant - in half an hour it was all done. Brilliant service. Beautiful, private, bubbly warm hot tub. Every utensil imaginable in the kitchen ... perfect. We will definitely be back and strongly recommend.

Very quiet area away from it all. Excellent for visiting the north of the island.

It was an absolutely beautiful property with everything as described. The staff that we met were super helpful and very professional. We did want to come back next year, but sadly see that it's not for rent from April next year.
