Guests say

Bryn Haf in Beaumaris is a well-regarded cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and convenient location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, quality beds, and tranquil garden. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the property's charm and the responsiveness of the owner to any concerns are consistently highlighted.

The property is frequently described as spotlessly clean, with several reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a standout feature. Only one mention of a specific cleaning issue suggests that cleanliness is generally of a high standard.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to local amenities and the town centre, with guests appreciating the short walks to shops, eateries, and the pier. Parking is occasionally challenging, but the central location compensates for this minor inconvenience.

Guests find the beds very comfortable and the property cosy and welcoming. Some guests mention the lounge seating could be improved, and the lighting in the lounge is noted as inadequate for some activities.

The property is well-equipped with modern appliances and a spacious kitchen. However, there are recurring comments about TV reception issues, and some guests suggest additional kitchen items and clearer recycling instructions would be beneficial.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

It is beautifully decorated and all the furniture looks lovely. It is in a great position for the shops, cafes and waterfront. Parking is easy, it is quiet, and once the central heating is on, it is warm. There are a few things that are not so good though. The front door will not fully open so getting bags in and out is a bit awkward. All the internal doors are swollen so you have to pull hard to get them open and really push them to get them closed. As other people have said, the lighting in the main room is extremely poor and it is gloomy and difficult to read even with all the lights on. The lights themselves are strangely organised and we found it difficult to switch them on and off. The fire is very fiddly to light. Having the fridge outside of the kitchen is a bit annoying when you're preparing food. I felt it would make much more sense to have the fridge in the kitchen, and get rid of the kitchen table, as having two dining tables and two sets of dining chairs seemed unnecessary to me. It was a nice gesture to find a bottle of milk in the fridge. We used it, but too late realised it was off and our food and drinks were spoiled. We looked at the bottle and it said use by 6th October. We arrived as arranged on 8th October. I appreciate that this was a genuine mistake but it didn't get the holiday off to a great start. The bathroom is also quite difficult to use and the shower and bath are hard to access for anyone with even slightly reduced mobility. Some of these issues would be less difficult in the summer, and for some people they would not be issues at all. It really is a very well presented house. It was big enough for two of us; I feel it would be a bit of a squeeze for four people, but again in the summer, it would probably be easier.

Otherwise the whole experience in the cottage was excellent. We would definitely return. Thank you.

The lounge/dinner was lovely with comfortable seating. The kitchen and utility were well equipped although I would have liked a Wok to cook with. The bedrooms were quite tight and, being fussy, we would have liked a king-size rather than double beds but there is insufficient room. However the beds were very comfortable. We managed to park in the street and found it was very peaceful, although the church bells and seagulls doing their rendition of happy feet were distracting the first night for my wife. Loved the place and would certainly look to book next year.
