About this property

14 Rose Hill is a charming holiday cottage in the popular seaside village of Beaumaris on the island of Anglesey. It’s nestled in a quiet street off the main high street. Well presented throughout, this is an ideal holiday cottage for a family holiday.

The main living space is open plan and includes a cosy seating arrangement around the electric woodburner-effect stove. There is also a Smart TV and DVD player, as well as books and games, perfect for enjoying quiet evenings in. Towards the back of this room, just next to the kitchen beyond it, is the dining table with enough space to sit four people. This space is welcoming and is ideal for year-round breaks.

Beyond the dining table is a kitchen complete with electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster. It contains all of the equipment you need for cooking whilst on holiday. You’ll also find a shower room on the ground floor that has a bath with shower over, loo, wash hand basin with the added benefit of a heated towel rail. Upstairs takes you to one double bedroom and a handy twin bedroom.

There is a front courtyard, however, it’s the back garden that really sells this as a go-to holiday cottage in Beaumaris! Sit out with a morning cuppa or evening glass of wine in the south-facing garden. You have a choice of where to sit with table and chairs, bench and even deck chairs are available in the shed! In the warmer months you can always sit outside and enjoy some fresh Welsh air before heading out, or after getting back from a day of adventure on Anglesey!

Beaumaris offers so much on your doorstep. Beaumaris Castle is a short walk away, as is a cracking array of places to eat and drink, The Bull is a popular choice! Enjoy a stroll along the pier and Menai Strait or soak up views across the water from the Pier House Bistro. The high street is also home to some great little local businesses that are well worth a browse.

If you don’t mind a drive, then hop in the car and head around the coastal roads of Anglesey to enjoy wonderful vistas, beautiful beaches or some great walks. In fact, exploring Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula are also an option if you’re happy to venture slightly further afield to make the most of your holiday. You’ll make happy memories at 14 Rose Hill.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.

Numerous times a year, as a child myself & now bringing my own 2 children (ages 6 & 3) & this is the cleanest, most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in! Having young children we ate in most of the time and it was lovely having good facilities to do this. The garden is lovely I loved having a coffee in the morning sun reading a book and the children loved exploring. Perfect location to explore the island but also wonder around Beaumaris. We have never stayed in the same cottage twice but will be booking to come back next year !

The beds are supper comfy and it really did have a home from home feel. Although parking is on road we never had a problem getting a space. Location is great!
