Hen Felin Isaf receives praise for its stunning seaside location and comfortable, homely feel. Guests appreciate the proximity to the beach and the beautiful views, particularly the sunsets. While some mention dated furnishings and a need for maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the cottage clean and well-kept, with only a few isolated comments about areas needing a deeper clean. The positive remarks about cleanliness suggest a high standard is generally maintained.
The location is highly praised for its peace, beauty, and proximity to the beach, making it a standout feature of the property. The scenic views and direct beach access contribute to the exceptional rating.
Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with some noting the beds and furnishings are pleasant. However, there are comments about the need for additional seating and the quality of the mattresses, indicating room for improvement.
The cottage is considered well-equipped by many, but there are several mentions of outdated furniture and a lack of updates. Maintenance issues and the need for modernisation affect the score.
There is insufficient information regarding gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, and guests should not expect additional amenities beyond the standard offering.
A lovely, detached, single-storey cottage overlooking the Blue Flag beach at Llanddona, Red Wharf Bay. With lovely sea views and well-equipped accommodation, this cosy Anglesey cottage makes a great year-round base. Note: This cottage can be booked with Ref. 3939 to sleep 10.
Red Wharf Bay or in Welsh, Traeth Coch meaning Red Beach is 4.5 miles long and is located along the North Eastern coast of Anglesey. As the bay is shallow at low tide, 25 square kilometres (10 square miles) of sand is uncovered. This allows opportunities for bathing, swimming and fishing to take place, plus for walkers there are many delightful paths. Red Wharf Bay attracts many birds and waterfowl. From shell duck and purple sandpipers to curlew, dunlin and grey plover, this makes the bay a haven for bird watchers. Less then five miles away is the wonderful historic town of Beaumaris which offers a 13th century castle, shops, pubs, restaurants, museums, a golf course and boat trips. Red Wharf Bay is an ideal base for a peaceful break all year round.

We enjoyed our stay although the week was very cold and the heating didn't cope very well, the fire in the lounge did help a little. The cottage could have been cleaner, we had to clean the fridge, as there was blood in it, before we put food in it so i guess this had been overlooked and there was dust and dirt on the skirting. The bed, towels and flooring were all clean, as was the kitchen equipment, which was more than adequate. Overall a lovely stay, would like to return at a warmer time of year.

If the wonderful views of the sea, especially the sunsets, and miles of sand to walk on and a home from home cottage weren't enough the wonderful family that own it live just behind and above it. They gave me a warm welcome and were on hand when needed and I had a lovely chat about the history of the cottage and about Llandonna. Thank you to them and I hope to come back again
