In Beaumaris, a well-known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey that is perched on the Menai Strait and looks out over the Snowdonia Mountain range, one may witness the most breathtaking sunrises. With its Edward I-era mediaeval castle (now a World Heritage site), Victorian pier, jail, and courthouse, it is also well recognised as a prominent sailing hub. Beaumaris has a long history and most of its original mediaeval street layout is still present. Characteristics of the town include its setting, diversity of architectural styles and ages, varying scale, open spaces, various roofing, and general level of quality. The town provides a good selection of shops, restaurants, and pubs in addition to a golf course nearby, as well as opportunities for boat trips and fishing. The large bay along the coast known as Red Wharf Bay, often called Traeth Coch (Red Beach), is well-known for its breathtaking sunsets. It is safe for swimming, great for family outings, fishing, and miles of breathtakingly gorgeous treks thanks to the bay's exceptional shallowness, which exposes about 25 square kilometres (10 square miles) of sand at low tide. The farther-off port of Holyhead has frequent ferry service to Dublin. Because of its superb location on the picturesque Isle of Anglesey's south coast and near to the spectacular Snowdonia mountains, Beaumaris is a great place to start exploring Wales.

There were 4 of us and found it difficult with only one toilet - the property would benefit with another toilet especially if it was full with 6 persons. Also, the parking was a bit of a problem - especially when unloading and loading the cars.

What was really needed was a proper extractor fan. There is zero effective air extraction which has been the case for years which is why there are permanently black mould spots on the ceiling. This is unpleasant and unnecessary when we are paying good money and at some point it will be what stops us returning. The toilet seat has been fitted badly at an angle. This makes it look like a bad job, itâs uncomfortable to use and itâs unhygienic. The nature and position of the shower and itâs shower tray make it literally impossible to rinse away sand which is common after a beach day.

Having read the previous review, I must say we didnât have any issues with the bathroom, it was lovely. To be fair, we donât spend our holidays looking at toilet seats or bathroom ceilings though, we were far too busy enjoying the beautiful area! Enjoyed food and drinks in The Bull and The Liverpool Arms and sea fishing on our friends boat. The cottage is clean, beds are comfortable, everything we needed. Parking can be a bit difficult, but with a bit of patience you can find a space. We will stay here again.
