Rhyd Angharad Barns is a contemporary cottage with stunning views and a modern aesthetic. Guests appreciate the property's location, blending countryside and coastline, and its proximity to local attractions. The spacious accommodation and well-equipped kitchen are highlights, though some guests suggest improvements in comfort and maintenance. The property's outdoor space is praised, though not fully enclosed for pets.
The property generally meets cleanliness standards, but several reviews mention issues such as mustiness in smaller bedrooms, a mouldy shower, and dog mess in the garden upon arrival. Some guests also reported finding dirt and cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement in thoroughness.
The location is highly praised for its peaceful setting with spectacular views of the sea and countryside. Its proximity to local beaches, walks, and a nearby pub is appreciated, although dining options are limited without travel.
While many guests find the beds comfortable and the property warm, several reviews cite low, uncomfortable lounge furniture and a lack of ventilation in the master bedroom as detractors from the overall comfort.
The property is well-equipped with modern amenities and a kitchen that satisfies most needs. However, guests have noted maintenance issues such as broken dining chairs, roller blinds, and a lack of hooks for towels. The Wi-Fi is reported to be slow and unreliable.
There are mixed mentions of thoughtfulness; some guests appreciated the welcome and the provision of basics, while others suggested that the addition of items such as candles, Nespresso pods, and kitchen essentials would enhance the experience. As gifts are not consistently referenced, a score cannot be accurately provided.

Many positives. Lovely location spectacular views very well appointed kitchen all appliances working etc. What I feel it could benefit from: oven gloves, sweeping brush (long handle) and egg cups . The sofa albeit a very expensive designer piece itâs now time to replace. Itâs designed for looks and not comfort. Itâs also starting to split and it is heavily stained and does smell a bit. The chairs in the kitchen/dinning are also in need of replacing. They are sagging when you sit on them. Overall it was hard to find anywhere to sit and relax comfortably in this property. The outside seating was far more comfortable. I would say this is marketed at high end I would have expected better quality pillows and bedding. (Asda, budget pillows, synthetic bedroom rugs) The mattress in the double bedroom (non floating) may also now need replaced. It has 2 toppers and itâs still not that comfy. I would also keep in mind this location is very rural and you need to factor that into your daily driving. Once you get your bearings there is a pub a short stroll away but it doesnât seem to do food and is limited opening (September) which may be seasonal. We dinned at the lobster Pot that was lovely and I would recommend this. The cafe at the beach is also very good although only open certain days. There is so much to do and see in the area and surrounds. For example we spent a lovely day at the Hidden Garden (lunch was a rip off £2.50 for a can of juice and soup and a sandwich £12.95 literally two prices of bread with a slice of ham ) take your own sandwich or eat in the actual town as there is a lot of lovely cafes worth trying. There are lots of beaches to explore and the national park etc. we were very fortunate with the weather. Overall we had a pleasant experience visiting Wales.

The house was clean & well equipped and had everything we needed. Basics left like oil, S&P, spices, tea & coffee, washing up liquid, cloth, tea towels &:scrubbers. Has a Nespresso coffee machine so take pods. Beds were super comfortable. Loved the way it was all set out. Nice big fridge and freezer. A pleasant walk to the local beach and lots of lovely walks from the house. Pub down the road for drinks. Will definitely go again. We all loved it. Cafe in the village Thursday to Sunday.
