Guests say

Avalon - Bryngwran is a well-received cottage in Anglesey, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and beautiful garden. Guests appreciate the peaceful location, ideal for relaxation and exploration of the island. The property is equipped to exceed expectations, though some minor issues with facilities were noted. The thoughtful touches, including treats for dogs, add to the charm of this holiday home.

Guests consistently mention the immaculate condition of the cottage, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One isolated incident regarding a smell from the boiler does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The cottage's location is frequently described as peaceful and perfect for quiet retreats, with easy access to local amenities and exploration. The narrow access road and incorrect postcode are minor concerns.

Reviewers find the beds extremely comfortable and the property spacious. The garden adds to the comfort by providing a relaxing outdoor space. No significant discomforts are reported.

The property is well-equipped, but some guests expressed a preference for a washing machine over a dishwasher, and there were concerns about boiler controls and maintenance. The lack of a TV in the master bedroom was noted as a minor drawback.

The provision of dog treats and the enclosed garden for pets are thoughtful gestures that guests appreciated. However, as not all reviews mention gifts, and to ensure expectations are managed, it should be noted that such extras are not guaranteed.

About this property

Avalon - Bryngwran is settled in the rural village of Bryngwran within Anglesey and just a short drive away from sandy beaches. This detached holiday home is the perfect place for families or friends to spend some quality time together. It has an enclosed garden with table and chairs for alfresco dining, and views of the countryside beyond. The property is also very dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry companion along for the ride too! Be greeted by a private driveway with enough space for three cars before stepping inside to the boot room to kick off walking boots and hang your jackets. The living room is a comfortable space where you can relax and unwind, whether you want to curl up on the sofa with a book or watch your favourite TV shows. Stepping through the property, locate the kitchen, which offers everything you need for a self-catered stay; prepare heart-warming meals with the electric oven and gas hob and make use of the dishwasher to keep the space tidy. When dinner is served, gather in the dining room at the table, where you can take a seat on the bench and catch-up on the day’s events. If the sun is shining, head out onto the rear garden with a cold beverage in hand and admire the stretch of lawn and the peaceful pond. As the evening draws to a close, retire inside and freshen up in the shower room on the first floor, featuring a walk-in shower, basin, and WC. The first floor also hosts two bright and airy bedrooms, with a king-size and an en-suite shower room, as well as an adult bunk bedroom, which has access to a sun room for quiet reading. For those with limited mobility, there is a ground-floor king-size bedroom, serviced by a cloakroom. In the morning, savour a cup of tea in the garden to appreciate the tranquil setting before making a plan of action for the day ahead. A scenic car journey will lead you to the quaint village of Llanfaelog, which is surrounded by rolling hills and is home to the historical Eglwys Cwyfan, a 12th century church. The village is also home to a few lovely restaurants and bars, including Scarlett’s Fish and Chip Shop Rhosneigr, Mojo's Restaurant, and Crêperie and Bar. All this and more waits at Avalon - Bryngwran.

Llanfaelog is a small settlement on Anglesey's western coast, close to Rhosneig and the major railway line to Holyhead. Llanfaelog has its own church, St Maelog's, which was completed in 1848, as well as a few shops and eateries. Traeth Llydan, a coarse sandy beach backed by sand dunes, as well as Porth Tyn Tywyn beach and the lovely lake of Llyn Maelog, are all close by and both offer lovely waterside walks. More spacious than the photos pervay. We had no trouble finding at all just followed the pin and the property has a sign outside Would recommend and would love to return The only drawback was a lack of washing machine But otherwise Avalon has everything for a fabulous holiday

Large en-suite bedroom on 1st floor. Double bedroom on ground floor at rear of cottage ideal for those who struggle with stairs. Large kitchen with plenty of room. The garden is massive and fully enclosed so that your furry friends and children can't run off. Located in a quiet area however there is an RAF airfield nearby so you do see/hear the the training aircraft during the day but they do stop at about 5pm. Very clean and tidy cottage and even has a BBQ for those summer evenings.
