Rhiangwyn Cottage in Holyhead, Anglesey, is praised for its peaceful location, comfortable beds, and the addition of a hot tub, which guests found particularly enjoyable. The property offers a family-friendly atmosphere with scenic walks nearby and is well-equipped for a relaxing stay. Some guests mentioned welcome touches upon arrival, enhancing the experience.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage clean and tidy, while others noted issues with cleanliness, such as a strong pet odour and presence of woodlice. The property seems to require more consistent cleaning standards.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. It is described as ideal for exploring the island and enjoying a peaceful retreat.
Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, mentioning comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. However, some reviews suggest that the mattresses and bedding could be improved for enhanced comfort.
The facilities, including the kitchen and hot tub, are appreciated by guests, but there are several mentions of the need for updates and maintenance throughout the property. The hot tub is a highlight, though some facilities like the oven and shower were critiqued.
The owner's thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome touches such as wine and Welsh cakes, as well as good communication. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, they should be considered a pleasant bonus rather than an expectation.

Bedding on the double bed upstairs needs replacing so boobly and well used its uncomfortable on the skin. Layer of dust on the heater in bathroom and dust under furnishings. Table cloth in kitchen is ripped in several places. Could be an amazing place if updated. Highlight of the place is the covered hot tub.

Had problems with accessing the key safe, would buy a new one if mine. The cleanliness was not as good as expected, the ingress of woodlice of all sizes on a daily basis was off putting as was finding dead carcasses of same in all rooms downstairs which shouldn't have been there if a thorough cleaning had taken place. The divan bed downstairs was not connected together and would come apart at the slightest touch and reveal that cleaning of underneath had not taken place for quite some time. The mattress of the divan bed downstairs was very hard(like sleeping on a plank). We opted to use just the lower floor because of the location of the bathroom. The heating instructions for use was very misleading,it mentions the main control being adjacent to the family bathroom upstairs, took some time to understand how to use the radiators.(No instructions for these). Our pets biscuits were in a bowl in the kitchen and these were coated one morning with slug or snail slime as was the cloth it stood on,could not find the culprit but there was a large gap in the corner where the kick boards should meet. Sorry if my comments seem harsh and negative, but I think the property owners should be made aware of these failings.
