this is a wonderfully spacious house for a big family gathering. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. A minor comment, which is not a criticism, is that the dishwasher may be nearing the end of its life and it was important not to overfill it. We look forward to staying again if the opportunity arises.

Instead things were worse! We had to hoover the main lounge before we could use it - amongst the bits of cheese, broken seashells, dust and grime we also found a battery in the rug- a clear danger to our children, baby and dog. The hoover bag needs changing, by the way, as it smells disgusting. The entire house really needs a deep clean, as I put my clothes in the cupboard I had to duck the copious cobwebs complete with spiders and dust. Awful smell from the drain in top room bathroom- if you’re there now, put the plug in the bath and stick to the shower but watch out for the shower head dropping out of its holder…luxury bathroom it is not! Most of the towels are past their best. There is only one hand towel in the kitchen which is not very helpful when 4 or more people have had to wash dishes by hand. The dishwasher is a waste of space- even when we only half or third filled it most of the dishes came out dirty and had to be washed by hand- try doing that with 12 sets of crockery 3 times a day and then add pans, glasses and cutlery! We only used the dishes and glasses we washed first, if you go any deeper into the cupboards, you’ll find many more that are still dirty from previous holiday makers who simply got fed up with the dishwasher and just put their dishes back onto the shelves straight from the dishwasher. Don’t know why there are so many drawers and cupboards full of the owners bits and pieces- broken knobs, pack of cigarettes, reels of cable, numerous tins of paint…the list goes on. Under the sink there is enough cleaning stuff to actually complete a deep clean several times over- but that was not our job! Too many odd pans without lids that fit. No microwave bowls or microwave lidded crockery which actually fits in the microwave. Loads of jugs for show but only one really old plastic one. In its favour… the hot tub is working at the moment. There is plenty of hot water. The washing machine and tumble dryer work well. All the ovens work but one door doesn’t close properly- you have to lift and place it shut. The house has ample and spacious rooms and the beach is within walking distance. This place has so much potential for luxury but currently is far from satisfactory and no where near worth over £4k per week. Very disappointing.

This house far exceeded our expectations, it was massive, with a well equipped kitchen and beautifully decorated, we loved all the quirky pictures and ornaments in the main lounge. Hot tub was great, although a little tricky to use, we struggled to get the temp right, it was a little too hot at times, but we still enjoyed it. WIFI was ok, although didnt really work in the kitchen, which was a shame as would of been nice to listen to some music whilst eating dinner or playing games around the huge table. Location was good, there's a rocky beach a short walk away down a steep road, but if you dont mind a bit of longer walk 20/30 mins either through the campsite or along the coastal path you will come to Benllech beach which is beautifully sandy. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back.
