About this property

Ty Hir is a traditional Welsh holiday cottage, located on the south east corner of Anglesey. Sitting in its own enclosed garden, there are also gorgeous views over countryside with the Menai Straits and the mountains behind. Beaches, walks and cycle routes are all within easy reach.

The sitting room has comfy seating, an electric coal flame effect fire, a TV with DVD player and plenty of books to read.

The kitchen offers all you’d expect on a self catering break.

The dining room has a coal effect fire, a dining table and chairs and two armchairs.

The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the holiday cottage. The smaller bedroom has a double bed and the larger bedroom has twin singles. This room also has space for a travel cot should you need one.

The family bathroom has a wash basin, loo and bath with an electric shower over.

Ty Hir is a holiday cottage that makes for a great family base on a holiday in North Wales. It it set in a peaceful location but amenities and things to see and do are close by. A five minutes walk will take you to the village of Llangoed which has a shop and post office. A short drive will find you in Beaumaris, which has great shops, places to eat and drink, a castle and walks along the seafront. You can also walk to Lleiniog beach in around 30 minutes. This simple holiday cottage has been the base for many happy holidays on Anglesey - it could be yours, too!

The village of Llangoed is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the beautiful east corner of the Isle of Anglesey, offering a shop and Post Office. Nearby is the fascinating and attractive town of Beaumaris, boasting a 13th century castle, Georgian and early Victorian houses and shops, a number of excellent tea rooms, restaurants and stylish shops, and a delicatessen. Visit the town’s old courthouse and Victorian gaol, or the pier where you can fish for crabs or catch a boat to see the birds on Puffin Island. From the pier and promenade there are spectacular views across the Menai Straits and Snowdonia. Nearby Penmon Priory, founded in the 6th Century by Saint Seiriol and with its Holy Well and Dovecote, is just a short walk away on the coastal footpath.

    Don’t expect modern minimalist decor but a warm welcome, comfortable beds and an excellent location with views towards the mountains. Would definitely return (as many do).
