The detached lodge is reached via a rugged, beach track and is decorated in a style to reflect the surrounding landscape. The light and airy lounge/kitchen/diner is the ideal place to relax, with a cosy lounge area set in front of a wood burner and a TV. The colourful kitchen area is a fun space to cook in, with everything needed for a self-catering break, and there’s a sweet dining table for sharing romantic dinners for two. When it’s time for bed, retire to the inviting king-size bedroom. Completing the property is a stylish bathroom. Outside, there is a decked area where you can sit and take in your peaceful surroundings. There’s also a portable BBQ for al fresco dining.

Stroll out of your front door and onto the golden sands of Llansteffan beach, where you can enjoy a picnic or a wander along the shoreline. The Wales Coast Path passes through the village, offering miles of unspoilt coastal walking, or you can embark on the popular circular route around the village, via the castle on the hill. This Norman fortress is a must for history enthusiasts, and is another great spot for a picnic with panoramic views as far as Worm’s Head. The town of Carmarthen is a must for the itinerary, with its quirky restaurants, outdoor markets, and art galleries to explore.
