About this property

Red Kite Lodge is a lovely stone-built cottage resting in the countryside hamlet of Talley near Llandeilo, close to local amenities and attractions, serving as a wonderful base for a family or friends looking for a getaway to beautiful Carmarthenshire. Park off-road and enter a cosy, wood-panelled living-dining room, combining traditional country style with modern convenience. Here you can grab a coffee and warm yourself beside the open fire as you plan the day ahead of you. In the evening, guests can enjoy a heart-warming meal, created in the amply fitted kitchen, accessible through a unique stain glass door, before settling in for a games night or taking a stroll down to the lake. Freshen up in the bathroom choosing either a warm shower or a soak amongst the bubbles, before choosing one of the beautifully presented bedrooms, including a double and a twin, both with tasteful décor. When the sun is shining, enjoy the countryside air from the outdoor sitting area with views across to the abbey, take advantage of the large communal garden or explore the extensive meadowlands. Llandeilo in picturesque Carmarthenshire, sits proudly on a hill above the River Tywi, the longest river that flows entirely through Wales. This pretty market town has a lovely selection of unusual gift shops, eating places and pubs, whilst visits to the medieval Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen Castles add to the charm. A short drive away is the scenic Brecon Beacons National Park, and the upland landscapes of the Carmarthenshire Fans and Black Mountains are a walker's delight. The beautiful sandy beaches and cliff walks of the Gower Peninsula, plus the ever popular Pembrokeshire coastline are not too far away. This is the ideal location for family holidays at any time of year.
