This pretty market town sits on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This area is popular for walking, fishing and cycling with the Black Mountains, Crychan Forest, Cwm Rhaeadr and the River Towey waiting to be discovered.

A walk up to the castle is a must as from here you enjoy the views out across the town to the neighbouring River Bran.

After a day spent walking through the beautiful countryside there are many cafés, tea rooms, delis and patisseries for you to relax in. Not to be missed is the annual Sheep Festival which is held every September and celebrates droving, sheep farming and the wool industry. Llandovery is in a fantastic location with something to suit everyone on the doorstep. The village of Llandeilo, a twenty minute drive away, is a pretty market town with a lovely selection of unusual gift shops, eating places and pubs, whilst visits to the medieval Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen Castles add to the charm. Perfectly cosy hut for a few days away with my partner and the dog. Stunning views by day, starry skies by night. Highlight was the cattle coming over to the fence to watch us relaxing in the hot tub! We were the first "official" guests, and the extremely friendly hosts were very keen to hear our feedback and suggestions. Totally recommend...
