Beach Retreat in Aberporth is highly praised for its cosy atmosphere, stunning views, and excellent location close to beaches and local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, and the warmth of the cottage, even during stormy weather. While some minor issues are mentioned, the overall sentiment is one of relaxation and enjoyment, with many expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the property clean and well-maintained, though a few mentioned areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as cobwebs and items not cleaned properly by previous guests. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.
The location is consistently lauded for its proximity to beaches, local shops, and scenic walks, with many guests enchanted by the sea views and the tranquility of Aberporth. The ease of access to the beach and coastal paths adds to the appeal.
Guests frequently mention the comfort of the property, highlighting the cosy beds, powerful shower, and warm atmosphere. The spaciousness and homely feel contribute to a relaxing holiday experience.
The cottage is praised for being well-equipped with a large TV, SKY, and a good selection of kitchen appliances. However, some guests experienced issues with the TV service and Wi-Fi, and there were comments about the need for maintenance and a more thorough clean between stays.
While some guests mentioned a welcome pack and found it a nice touch, there are not enough references to consistently assess the thoughtfulness of the hosts in providing gifts or extra amenities. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will always be provided.
Situated directly above the sandy beach of Aberporth and with superb sea views, this Cardigan Bay studio cottage makes a perfect coastal retreat for two. Steps lead down to the beach for an evening stroll or there are benches on the village green where you can watch the fishermen bringing in their catch or just enjoy the sun set.
Cardigan Bay coastline is part of the All Wales Coast Path and there are some truly spectacular scenery and walks from the door. There are two sandy beaches in Aberporth and the locals say one of them is always sheltered. Aberporth itself has welcoming pubs, shops and eateries. If you can tear yourself away, a little further along the coast are more coves and beaches such as Mwnt, Tresaith, Llangrannog and Cwmtydu. The coastal towns of Cardigan, New Quay and Aberaeron have a larger selection of eateries and a good selection of shops, galleries and pubs.
Aberporth is a small town that sits on the southern edge of Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion, renowned for it's fabulous beaches that attract visitors, all year round. There are two beaches that sit between the rocky headlands of Trecregyn and Fathgarreg, separated by a smaller rocky outcrop. Uniquely, at low tide they interlink, but at high tide, they create individual beaches and create great rock pools for the children to play in and explore. Small boats, canoes, and kayaks can easily be launched from the north beach, while the south beach lends itself beautifully for a spot of sunbathing. Close to the beaches, there is a small seaside café, fish and chip shop, and a friendly pub serving good food and drinks. In the village itself, there is a range of shops and takeaway stores. Nestled directly on the famous Wales Coast Path, between the towns of Cardigan in the south, and Llangrannog and New Quay to the north, it is a great base for exploring this glorious stretch of coastline. Venture to Cardigan and discover the town’s many shops, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs, and bustling markets. Visit the nearby themed farm park, spot dolphins from the coastal path, or take a boat trip for the chance to see them up close! Aberporth is a great base for exploring this wonderful part of West Wales, with something to do for all the family.

The cottage is lovely and has great views across the bay. It's quiet, comfortable and is very close to the beach, local shops and places to eat. It's a great place to relax and unwind and is the perfect base for adventures around Cardigan Bay.

The dining chairs in the kitchen are uncomfortable. Everything else is great!

A really comfortable, well-appointed apartment in a great location with splendid sea views. I loved the cottage decor in calming seaside colours and the attention to detail, with everything you would need anticipated. A welcome package of milk, Welsh cakes and crisps was much appreciated as was all the local information. It was such a treat to be able to walk in five minutes to a beautiful sandy beach, swim in the sea and come home to eat fish and chips overlooking the view. Great shower too. We will definitely come back.
