Llanrhystud 4.5 miles. Resting a short distance away from the coast of Mid Wales in the picturesque village of Llangwyryfon is this wonderfully converted water mill, Felin Iago. This spacious accommodation boasts bags of character offering a unique base for a family or friends gathering with both coast and countryside to explore. Upon entering the property, be welcomed into the country-style kitchen, complete with all the essentials required to cater for yourselves for the duration of your stay, boasting a dishwasher so you don’t have to worry about washing up after cooking up a storm! You and your loved ones can gather together within the spacious sitting room hosting high ceilings, with characterful exposed beams framing the plush seating arrangement, where the adults of the group can curl up in front of the woodburning stove, whilst the children make the most of the play area to the rear of the space. As the evening draws to a close, venture up the staircase to catch your rest in between your Mid Wales adventure within one of the bedrooms, offering a real sense of home-from-home. Choose between a family bedroom with a double bed and two singles, a king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom, designed to offer a flexible sleeping arrangement. Spend a moment or two within the garden, where you can roam the lawn areas before pouring yourself a refreshing drink as you catch the final glimpses of the sun. If you can tear yourself away from this outstanding abode, head to the village of Llanrhystud where you will find a pub serving good food and a shop for picking up the essentials. Alternatively, a short car journey will take you to the large town of Aberystwyth, where you will find a glorious beach and a number of attractions including the Castle Grounds, a golf club and the Vale of Rheidol Railway. For those feeling active, head along the coastline where you will find a magnitude of walking and cycling opportunities amidst breath-taking scenery. Felin Iago promises a wonderful escape to this part of Wales.
Llanrhystud is a small village resting on the A487 and is part of the Welsh Coastal Path, situated 9 miles away from Aberystwyth. Within the village you will find a pub serving food, a caravan park with a clubhouse and restaurant, a convenience store and Post Office. Within the surrounding area you will find a popular 18 hole golf course, as well as a number of riding schools and a farm park.
