Guests say

Guests are enamoured with Ty ar y Mynydd, praising its stunning views, perfect isolation, and the freedom it offers for children and pets. The off-grid lifestyle with modern conveniences, including solar power and Wi-Fi, is highlighted as a unique and positive experience. The owner, Evan, is commended for his exceptional hospitality and kindness, especially in times of need. While there is a mention of a minor issue with local wildlife, the overwhelming sentiment is one of eagerness to return to this idyllic cottage.

There is insufficient information in the reviews to accurately assess the cleanliness of the property.

The location is consistently lauded for its beauty and tranquillity, offering a restful holiday and stunning surroundings. It is described as an amazing, breathtaking country, teeming with wildlife, which guests are eager to return to.

The cottage is described as warm, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a cosy atmosphere even with mixed weather. The presence of modern conveniences alongside the off-grid setup suggests a high level of comfort.

Facilities are appreciated, especially the off-grid power and water supplies, solar panels, and Wi-Fi. However, there is a mention of Wi-Fi issues and a minor incident with a rat, which suggests room for improvement in maintenance.

The owner's thoughtfulness is evident through his attentive hospitality and the provision of welcome packs, which have been well received. While gifts like Easter eggs and chocolates are mentioned and appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed.

Great cottage in a great location. Perfect to unwind for a week. Living ‘off-grid’ and managing the batteries with solar power was easy once we got the hang of it. Became a bit of a compulsion by the end of the week, to see how little electric we could use! Recommend this place to everyone, proper 4x4 needed for crossing the river if it has rained heavily.

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location, the owner was always available for any questions and being a lone female, checked in with me every day to see if there was anything I needed. Surprisingly the internet was exceptionally good and you can get a decent phone signal if you walk part way up the hill. It was well equipped and the welcome basket was much appreciated. If you love isolation, this is the perfect place.

Just what we wanted. Only problem, a rat living under an inspection chamber where cars are parked, ate through the rubber hose to my rear windscreen washer!!!
