Enjoying a pleasant location high above St Dogmaels in Pembrokeshire with views of the river Teifi towards Cardigan and the ruins of St Dogmaels Abbey, this delightful holiday cottage makes a great retreat for couples or a small family.
The coastal path is easily accessed and the beaches of Poppit Sands and Ceibwr are a short drive or a good walk away. The village is a short walk and has 3 pubs, a village shop and a wonderful estuary walk to Cardigan.
The cottage has been carefully and thoughtfully restored over the last few years.
Ground Floor
Entrance is through the front door to the small hallway with a sliding door leading through to the open plan living and dining area with original quarry tiled floor and a mirrored wall at the far end creating a lovely feeling of space in this cosy room.
There are lovely views from this room of the estuary and the rooftops of the village below.
The sitting area is furnished with a large leather sofa and tub chair, window seat, coffee table, TV, DVD, electric fire and a Welsh dresser.
The dining area has a most unusual table which converts into a sofa (as used in mining cottages years ago to save on space) and 4 leather chairs.
The small kitchen is well equipped and has fitted units, gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer.
There is a laundry room accessed from outside, this has a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and space for storing holiday paraphernalia.
First Floor
Stairs lead to the landing with a well stocked bookcase and games shelf.
There are two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedside table/shelf, wardrobe, chest of drawers, cafe duo and lovely river and abbey views.
bedroom 2 has a set of bespoke hand built "stepped" 2'6" bunk beds and under-bed storage.
The bathroom has a suite of bath with electric shower over, WC and wash hand basin.
Beds will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival.
Garden and ParkingThere is a bench outside the cottage for coffee or wine time and a lovely decked area opposite with views to the river over the roof tops, there is a table, chairs and barbecue provided.
There is a parking space opposite the cottage.
Other InformationHeating is by mains gas this is included in the rental from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £25 per week at all other times, please pay at property.
No smoking.
No baby equipment.
Towels are included but are not for beach use.
One pet is welcome, please enquire if you would like to bring two.
A fully refundable security deposit may apply to this property to cover potential damages.
