Guests are enchanted by the Sky Hut's unique charm, praising its tranquil setting and the warm hospitality of hosts Neris and Arwel. The ability to stargaze from bed, the presence of friendly donkeys, and the use of a hot tub with stunning views contribute to a memorable experience. The property's rural location offers a peaceful retreat, though some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and hot tub sharing arrangements.
While many guests enjoyed their stay, there were some concerns about cleanliness. A few reviews mentioned that the hut and communal areas could be cleaner, with one specifically suggesting the need for a vacuum under the bed. However, these comments were not universal, indicating that experiences may vary.
The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquility. Guests love the proximity to nature, the farm animals, and the scenic views. The rural setting offers a disconnect from technology, which is appreciated by many, although it may not suit those looking for phone reception or who are sensitive to farm smells.
The Sky Hut is generally considered comfortable, with special mentions of the unique experience of stargazing from bed. Some guests noted the need for additional utensils and difficulties with shower temperature, but overall, the comfort level is well-regarded.
Facilities like the hot tub, pizza oven, and kayaks are appreciated, but the shared hot tub arrangement received mixed reviews due to limited availability. The mention of a games room and open access to wood are positives, but the need for better maintenance in some areas is noted.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the hospitality and welcome hamper provided, which guests found delightful. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are a gracious gesture from the hosts and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.
That's not your eyes playing tricks with you. The roof really can be opened, enabling you to enjoy the sunshine or the magnificent night sky from the comfort of your private bed. Welcome to the totally unique Sky Hut...
Relax in front of the fire or open up the roof to admire the wonders of the milky way from the comfort of your own bed. Enjoy a glass of wine in the hot tub overlooking stunning countryside views or sit back with a good book in a boat on the lake. Sky Hut offers a truly unique, romantic and inspiring lakeside retreat in West Wales - the perfect base to discover the beauty of Cardigan Bay with its long stretches of golden sand.
Sky Hut was one of 8 units featured on Channel 4's 'Cabins in the Wild' documentary in 2017. Its new, permanent home at Cwmcoedog's family farm benefits from excellent communal facilities that are shared with 3 other small camping pods and 1 other cabin. Close to the lake, it also enjoys its own patio area to make the most of this beautiful setting. The village pub is within 1.5 miles (a lovely walk along a country lane) and the nearest restaurant is just over 2 miles. Cardigan Bay's nearest beach (Cei Bach) is less than 6 miles and the picturesque seaside resort of New Quay is 7 miles.

Mr Sully
Really well designed and laid out hut with everything you need if you're sensible. Great location too. Being able to open the hut roof to the night sky is truly brilliant.
Mrs Merner
Sky hut is amazing to stay in but the roof opens a bit noisily so we felt we couldn't open and close as we wanted to in the early hours when the clearer skies were there as it may have woken other guests/children in the glamping pods.
Miss Ling
We loved our stay in your cottage, the fact there was no WiFi or signal was very wholesome and waking up to the donkeys was very cute :)
