Guests say

Robin Cottage in Gower, Swansea, is a well-loved holiday rental praised for its peaceful location and proximity to local amenities and beaches. Guests appreciate the enclosed garden for dogs, the cosy atmosphere, and the nearby pub with good food. While some guests noted areas for improvement, the charm and convenience of the cottage make it a popular choice for return visits.

Cleanliness received mixed reviews. While some guests found the cottage spotless, others reported issues with dog hair, cobwebs, and general cleanliness. The presence of both positive and negative comments suggests variability in cleaning standards between stays.

The location is highly praised for its central position in Gower, with easy access to beaches and local attractions. The village of Reynoldston and the nearby King Arthur pub are frequently mentioned as highlights.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, mentioning cosy beds and a warm welcome. However, some concerns about overgrown gardens and maintenance issues slightly affect the comfort score.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the cottage being described as well-equipped and maintained. Nonetheless, several reviews point out the need for better maintenance in the garden and some interior areas, leading to a good but not excellent score.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Enjoyed a lovely stay in Robin Cottage. Found it to be a very comfortable and welcoming cottage with plenty of space and adequately stocked with all the items needed to make your stay home from home. The decking in the rear garden does get very slippery when wet, so care is needed, but our dog enjoyed the safe and secure garden. Reynoldston is a picturesque and peaceful village, with a great pub and village shop. The cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy all that The Gower has to offer with nothing in the region more than a 20 minute drive away. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely revisit.

Two ceiling lights and one lamp didn’t have bulbs. The upstairs toilet was broken and although reported in the first night it was not repaired during our stay. Two of four cups were chipped. Towel rail not fitted correctly Some rot in bathroom near shower. The location makes up for a lot, overall it was comfortable.
