The Gower beaches are ideal for more outdoor fun: Rhossili Bay (13 miles) has 3 miles of golden sands and iconic Worm's Head at one end - it's a 2-mile walk to the tip of the headland, the most westerly point of the peninsula - while closer to home, Caswell Bay is only 4 miles. Indulge your taste for the finer things in life with a visit to Mumbles (5 miles); home to independent boutiques, traditional crafts, a Victorian pier and ancient castle, the town's ice-cream parlours and eateries are excellent.
