Awelon Cottage in Colwyn Bay offers a comfortable and well-equipped stay with stunning views and a secure garden, ideal for dogs. The property is praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and homely feel. While some guests encountered maintenance issues, the location and the amenities provided contribute to a generally enjoyable experience.
Most guests found Awelon clean and welcoming, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few reviews mentioned specific cleanliness issues, such as dirty shower drains and a grubby kitchen floor, which slightly lowers the score.
The property is well-situated for exploring North Wales, with easy access to local towns, beaches, and amenities. The quiet location with country views is frequently appreciated, although the driveway access presented challenges for some.
Guests generally found the beds comfortable, especially the upstairs double, and the property cosy. However, some guests reported issues with the twin beds being rickety and uncomfortable, and noise from the laminate flooring, which affects the comfort score.
The property is equipped with necessary facilities, including a well-appointed kitchen and secure garden. Nonetheless, several reviews cited maintenance issues such as plumbing problems, difficulties with the TV, and challenges with the driveway, indicating room for improvement.
Unfortunately we’ve been unable assess this category comprehensively enough based on the reviews we’ve received from guests about this property.
