Guests say

Hafan Y Mor is a well-received apartment in Colwyn Bay, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and convenient location close to the seafront and local amenities. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, generous room sizes, and the thoughtful inclusion of items for children. The garden is a highlight, offering a sunny retreat. Some guests noted the lack of a proper shower as a minor drawback, but overall the property is highly recommended for a pleasant stay.

Guests consistently note the apartment's cleanliness, describing it as immaculate and exceptionally clean. The attention to detail in maintaining a tidy environment contributes to the high score in this category.

The apartment's location is frequently praised for being a short walk from the beach and local shops, with easy access to North Wales attractions. Its proximity to the seafront and town centre makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Reviewers find the apartment very comfortable, highlighting the generous room sizes, comfortable beds, and well-furnished spaces. The garden adds to the comfort by providing an outdoor space for relaxation. The lack of a proper shower is mentioned by some as a comfort concern.

The property is well-equipped with necessary appliances and extras for children, such as toys and books. However, several guests suggest improvements in the bathroom facilities, particularly the installation of a proper shower, which affects the score.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the provision of items not always found in holiday rentals, such as a highchair, travel cot, and toys. While these items are greatly appreciated by guests, it is noted that such amenities may vary and are not guaranteed.

About this property

This superb Edwardian garden flat occupies a sought after location, close to the seafront and town centre of Rhos-on-Sea, on the popular North Wales Coast. Occupying the whole ground floor of this semi-detached property, the apartment is spacious and beautifully-styled throughout with impressive high ceilings and original character features blended with modern furnishings to create a lovely holiday home. Stepping into the generous hallway through a private front door, you will recognise the attention to detail straight away. The spacious sitting room enjoys a large bay window with seating, along with relaxing sofas, stripped floor boards and blinds that let the light flood in. The master bedroom is delightfully-appointed with a super-king size bed and offers French doors onto the patio, allowing you to let the fresh air in and to step outside to enjoy morning coffee in peace and quiet. The second bedroom provides a delightful single room with the benefit of a pull-out trundle bed for young children, whilst the modern and stylish bathroom offers a bath with shower attachment. The kitchen is modern and fully-fitted with a social dining area overlooking the patio and garden. The patio opens onto the lawned garden which includes gooseberry and redcurrant bushes, rhubarb and chives, a beautiful magnolia tree, and benefits from the sun late into the afternoon. A four minute walk will find you on the seafront of Rhos-on-Sea, where you can stroll along the promenade and past the harbour, and then into the town centre which has many shops, pubs and tea rooms on offer. Llandudno is easy to reach by car, where you can take the cable car or the Tramway to the summit of the Great Orme, and maybe enjoy a picnic at the top whilst admiring the superb views which stretch for miles. Colwyn Bay with its sandy beaches and Eirias Stadium for exciting concerts and sporting events, is also just a short drive away, or you may prefer to take a bus instead, as this property has the added benefit of being positioned on a local bus route. Slightly further afield is the town of Conwy, a designated World Heritage Site dominated by a splendid castle completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls and is well-worth a visit. Hafan Y Mor (or Haven on the Sea) offers a fantastic destination from which to enjoy the beautiful North Wales Coast and surrounding area at any time of the year.

Rhos-on-Sea, a town on the North Wales coast, is four miles from Victorian Llandudno and 18 miles from popular inland destination Betws-y-Coed. Rhos-on-Sea has an attractive harbour and a relaxed air, and is sandwiched between two bays; Penrhyn and Colwyn. The town offers shops, pubs and restaurants, and the area is full of opportunities for walking, fishing, sailing, watersports and golf.

The maintenance on it is excellent well looked after and everything provided. Parking was easy. The lady who owns it is nice and helpful. Many thanks P and C.

It's in the best location, literally 3 minutes walk to the beach. The bus stop to get to Colwyn Bay / Llandudno is pretty much outside the house as well. Parking on the street is ample. The house is lovely and to be honest the pictures don't do it justice. The main bedroom is tasteful and has a huge super king bed and the curtains do the job of allowing a lie-in on a sunny morning. The only thing is the shower (as others have mentioned). It really is tricky having a shower and not soaking the bathroom in the process due to there being no shower fitting or curtain (just a shower head in the bath). It's certainly not a deal breaker but did make things tricky each day. The house has all facilities needed - washing machine, dishwasher, good oven, BBQ etc. And the garden is lovely.

There was a lovely garden for us to use. The location was brilliant, less than 10 mins to Conway and under 15 to Llandudno. We were able to explore without being in the car all holiday. The only criticism was we all had very dirty feet from walking around, the kids white socks were ruined. I had to clean their feet in between them having a bath and going to bed. Other than this the rest of the apartment was clean, no issues. There has been a lot of thought put into the apartment, we loved the little notes on things. Overall we loved this placed and would definitely recommend.
