Take the tram up the Great Orme, enjoy a cable car ride from Happy Valley Gardens, followed by a toboggan run or a dry ski slope session, then perhaps have a game of crazy golf, or if you would rather, visit one of the 8 golf courses within 15 minutes’ drive. The Victorian pier is worth a visit for an ice cream, or just stroll along the promenade and enjoy a Punch and Judy show. Numerous walks radiate from the area, with circular walks around the Great Orme, and coastal walks in both directions leading to Conwy and Rhos-on Sea opening up superb cliff top views. The seaside town of Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme. The town offers two beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes. For the best views, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile.
