Guests have been charmed by Rhydonnen Bach's stunning views, tranquil setting, and comfortable beds. The conservatory is a highlight, offering a peaceful space to enjoy the scenery. The cottage's cleanliness and the host's responsiveness are appreciated, though some minor maintenance issues were noted. Overall, the property provides a delightful and restful experience.
The property was described as clean, which suggests a high level of cleanliness. However, the mention of a 'battered' chair indicates some minor concerns, preventing a perfect score.
The location is highly praised for its amazing views and tranquility, with no negative comments, indicating an excellent rating.
Comfort is consistently highlighted, with special mentions of dreamy beds and a cosy wood burner. The conservatory adds to the comfort, though the lack of a coffee pot and games was a minor drawback.
The property is well-equipped with major appliances and guest-controlled heating. However, the need for lightbulb replacements and the absence of mirrors in bedrooms suggest room for improvement in maintenance.
There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Built in 1717, this detached cottage makes the perfect rural retreat with family or friends, with character features, outstanding scenery and plenty of home comforts to enjoy. On arrival, the private driveway leads you to your isolated cottage, where you can truly absorb the wonder of the Welsh hills as you make your way into the property. Inside, exposed beams immediately add charm to the space, placed throughout the cottage and keeping with the 16th-century character. The sitting room is home to a TV and woodburning stove, the most inviting place after a day of walking. From here a wooden built conservatory with striking views offers a space to dine with your loved ones. Making your way through the property, the kitchen has everything you need for a self-catered stay, including a handy dishwasher to help with the cleaning up, and a quaint breakfast table. Completing the ground-floor is a shower room, fit for freshening up after exploring your surroundings. Upstairs you can catch your rest in one of two bedrooms; a dual-aspect, super-king-size bedroom offers a zip/link bed for flexibility, while the triple aspect twin with sofa-bed invites children or friends sharing to admire the surrounding landscapes. Outside, savour the area with an alfresco dinner from the barbecue with a glass of wine in hand. If you need to stock up or fancy popping out for a drink, the village of Llanrhaeadr is home to your nearest shop and pub, while slightly further you can find more dining and shopping options in the historic town of Denbigh. Savour an intimate Italian meal at Vale Street Kitchen finishing off with a drink on the terrace, before exploring the quaint streets, or heading up to view the ruins of Denbigh Castle. Enjoy a meal and some drinks in one of the inviting pubs nearby such as Drovers Arms Rhewl or the White Horse Hendrerwydd, both within easy reach from the cottage. With the seaside just a scenic drive away, why not take a day trip to Rhyl, where you can find a quintessentially Welsh coastal experience. If walking and other outdoor activities are more your style, a longer drive will lead you to the picture-perfect landscapes of the Snowdonia National Park, where an abundance of activities can be found. A characterful home in an isolated and stunning area, choose Rhydonnen Bach.
Llanrhaeadr is a charming rural village in Denbighshire, Wales, located in the Vale of Clwyd. Perched between Denbigh and Ruthin, it houses the mediaeval parish church of St Dyfnog containing a Tree of Jesse window which dates to the 16th century and is described as the 'finest glass window in all Wales'. There is also a Post Office, several shops, and a pub here, or you can travel to Denbigh in the heart of North Wales to see the stunning mediaeval structure of Denbigh Castle as well as the Cae Dai 50s Museum. Conservatory a real bonus and the views magnificent.

We particularly loved the conservatory and its magnificent views Ioan, The owner made sure we had plenty of logs for the wood burner, So cosy in the cool evenings! The beds were comfortable. The heating was easy to manage and there was plenty of hot water. We also loved the peacefulness as it is set down a long track, so it is well off the road.
