Guests say

Ystrad Bach is a stunning, well-equipped cottage in North Wales, praised for its breathtaking views, quality furnishings, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests have enjoyed the luxurious touches, such as the hot tub and homemade cake, and have found it to be a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside. While some minor issues were noted, the overall experience has been highly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

The property generally appears to be well-maintained, though there were isolated comments about cobwebs, dust, and a mouse sighting. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, as other reviews do not mention cleanliness issues.

The location is consistently described as stunning and ideal for exploring North Wales. The rural setting with beautiful views has been a highlight for many guests. One review mentioned difficulty finding the property due to incorrect location information, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

Guests have found the property to be very comfortable, with a warm welcome and a relaxing atmosphere. There are mentions of a luxurious roll top bath and quality furnishings. However, there were comments about low beams and an uncomfortable bed in the master bedroom.

The facilities, including a hot tub, pizza oven, and fire pit, have been well-received. The property is described as well-equipped and luxurious. Some guests suggested improvements, such as a better shower and provision of robes and slippers.

While guests have mentioned a warm welcome and a homemade cake, there are not enough references to consistent thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

A great place for our annual family get together.

Ystrad Bach is in a perfect location to visit all local seaside towns such as Colwyn bay, Welsh mountain zoo, Rhyl and Prestatyn. Plus there are plenty of big name supermarkets and takeaway places near by. We recommend the fish and chip in Denbigh. The owners were very welcoming and helpful - they live in the property next door. The property is stunning, with lovely decoration throughout- lots of wooden flooring throughout but with modern kitchen appliances. The kitchen is also equipped with everything you will need during your stay from cooking utensils, cleaning supplies, kitchen roll and all crockery/cutlery. Take laundry detergent etc as the washer/drier is very useful and no washing to take home! All towels and linen included- plus a bath mat for the children. The views are also beautiful- sitting outside with the fire pit is a must. The children also enjoyed the use of piano and there is a huge selection of board games, books and drawing in the lounge sliding cupboard. The welcome cakes, snacks info pack was a great added touch also. :) The hot tub was a fantastic added extra- though do take flip flops and dressing gowns as it’s accessed across the gravel/grass at the front of the property. Do watch out for the low beams upstairs if your tall and the bed in the master bedroom is a little un comfy unfortunately. We enjoyed our stay very much and would hope to return in the future to Ystrad Bach :)

Robes and slippers weren’t provided which is the only negative. Oh and watch for the low beams! Maybe a warning could be placed on the beams.
