Hidden away in the charming village of Llanelidan, Ysgubor Ucha is the perfect holiday cottage for a couple is pursuit of a tranquil base to call home as they explore all that this part of Wales has to offer, from rolling hills, charming towns and exciting outdoor attractions. Admire the character and charm of the stone-built exterior before entering, where you will be charmed by the contemporary interior design making a striking contrast to the outside. Within the kitchen, the quality appliances are arranged in a sleek assortment and complement the exposed beams and brick wall, creating a wonderful space to cook up a storm for you and your loved one. After an action-packed afternoon, look forward to settling down for the evening within the sitting room, where a plush seating arrangement rests in front of the TV, with a woodburning stove crackling in the background, this is a wonderful space to spend quality time with your partner. The small village of Pwllglas lies four miles south of the hilltop town of Ruthin, which lies to the north of Llangollen via the breathtaking Horseshoe Pass. Within the village you will find a small shop with a quaint cafe, perfect for enjoying a coffee and cake before exploring the surrounding area which includes a nearby butterfly conservation area and an old fort. Within Ruthin, you will find a larger selection of amenities and on its doorstep is Lake Brenig, Moel Famau, Loggerheads Country Park and Clocaenog Forest.

Well kept very clean and tidy. It has everything you need for your stay. This is our second time at this cottage but not our last we will be back for another relaxing stay. Neil and karyn our lovely people who own the cottage nothing is too much trouble plus the welcome pack you receive on arrival is a lovely though

The cottage is so warm and comfortable with everything you need at hand. Mid autumn and a bit chilly but a blanket on the settee, likewise blankets in the bedroom but get the fire lit and you will leave them where they are. Our border collie Jonty still sits all day in the garden and this year he had company in the adjoining field, the sheep were out, just sat and watched. Utter heaven, thank you Karyn and Neil.

..so cosy. The welcome tray was a lovely touch and the homemade raspberry jam was devine, the location was lovely and peaceful, just what we needed, Karyn and Neil are lovely hosts.We really enjoyed our break.
