Ruthin 4 miles. This delightful 200-year old, detached barn conversion is one of two on site and is situated 1 mile from the village of Llanferres and 4 miles from Ruthin in the Clwydian Hill Range. Situated in a picturesque part of North Wales, the cottage is an ideal base for a romantic retreat. With wonderful views to Moel Famau, the cottage offers quality, well-equipped accommodation with a lovely fitted kitchen/sitting area and a conservatory with dining table. The mezzanine double bedroom leads through to an en-suite shower room and provides all you need for a fantastic holiday. The Offa's Dyke trail passes within 500 yards and views across to Loggerheads Country Park tempt you to don your walking boots and get out and explore the area. We were well looked after by our hosts and nothing was too much trouble. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and lovely cake was waiting for us. There were also biscuits for the dog. It was set in a lovely central location and plenty of parking for the car. We had some lovely days out and would recommend Chirk Castle, Erddig Castle, Llangollen Aquaduct, Attingham Estate and Greenfield Valley Heritage Park.

Owners Dave and Trish were really friendly and welcoming, providing us with milk on arrival together with treats for our Rottie and a fantastic fruitcake. All in all a really enjoyable break.
