Forestry Cottage is praised for its idyllic location, comfortable living spaces, and thoughtful touches like a welcome gift basket. While some guests noted the decor is a bit dated and minor maintenance issues, the charm of the surrounding nature and the well-equipped facilities generally outweigh these concerns. The property's seclusion and proximity to outdoor activities make it a favoured choice for a peaceful retreat.
Most guests found the cottage clean, with a few noting areas that needed more attention. Some mentioned spiders and webs, and a couple of days of an unpleasant smell upon arrival. However, these seem to be isolated incidents rather than the norm.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to nature, and convenience for exploring Snowdonia. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting and the easy access to local attractions and outdoor activities.
Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, particularly highlighting the beds and living spaces. There were some comments about the mattresses being too soft and the sofas being worn, suggesting room for improvement.
The cottage is well-equipped with modern kitchen appliances and excellent WiFi. However, guests pointed out the need for maintenance, such as updating utensils, cleaning the oven, and providing better instructions for appliances. The presence of an electric car charger was a plus.
The welcome gift basket was a pleasant surprise for guests, indicating thoughtfulness from the hosts. However, it's important to note that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be a consistent offering for all stays.
