Guests say

Ty Coch is a well-received cottage in North Wales, praised for its stunning views, immaculate cleanliness, and perfect location for exploring Snowdonia. Guests appreciate the well-maintained property, comfortable accommodation, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. The spacious kitchen and games room are highlights, contributing to a delightful stay despite minor feedback on road access and some overlooked cobwebs.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is generally described as immaculately clean, with several guests highlighting the cleanliness. However, a few mentioned cobwebs and higher-up dusting as areas for improvement, which slightly affects the score.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales. The only drawback mentioned is the access road condition, which is not enough to significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of the warm and cosy atmosphere. The house is well-received for its comfort levels, although there is a suggestion for additional bathroom door hooks and foam pads for kitchen chairs.

Facilities are generally great, including a well-equipped kitchen and games room. Some minor maintenance issues like a dodgy bathroom lock and a TV that was difficult to operate are noted, but these do not overshadow the overall positive experience.

The welcome pack is warmly received, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, guests should be aware that such kind gestures are a bonus rather than an expectation.

About this property

Caernarfon 5.6 miles. Nestled in the Eryri National Park in the rural village of Betws Garmon, is this farm-style home, Ty Coch. This five-bedroom property is on a working farm surrounded by rolling hills and offers a games room, making this an excellent base for both families and friends. Step inside the stone-fronted home and discover the kitchen/diner, well-equipped with everything you need for a self-catered stay with a rangemaster electric cooker for baking. Gather at the country-style dining table to favour mealtimes together or if the sun is shining, why not make dinner an alfresco affair in the enclosed garden? Sit back and relax as you admire the views of the unspoilt landscape; afterwards retire to the sitting room and keep warm next to the woodburning stove. The young ones can escape to either the snug room with a TV or the external games room, with a pool table, huge Connect 4 and darts. As the evening draws to a close, the ground-floor offers a twin bedroom, serviced by a shower room or venture upstairs to find two double rooms and two single bedrooms, all with ample storage. Awaken with a cup of tea in the conservatory to soak up the morning sunshine before embarking on a rural ramble from the foot of the door. Ty Coch is a superb base for avid walkers with its National Park setting and for your amenities, a short drive will lead you to the town of Caernarfon, which offers a great selection of traditional pubs, quirky shops, and cafes. Caernarfon is a historic town in Wales with plenty of things to see and do. The main attraction is Caernarfon Castle, a medieval castle, and the town walls, or you can visit the village of Llanberis and enjoy a steam train between the mountains. The bustling town of Bangor is home to many historical attractions, including the Beaumaris Castle, National Trust - Penrhyn Castle and Garden, and the Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens. For a countryside retreat like no other, choose Ty Coch.

Caernarfon (Gwynedd county town) is important to North Wales' history and culture. Its 13th-century castle, well-preserved town walls, and water front are popular tourist attractions. During the season, there are castle tours and pageants. The Welsh Highland Railway passes through Beddgelert and Porthmadog. Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, is walkable from the town centre and offers fishing trips. Caernarfon has many shops and restaurants and is close to the Isle of Anglesey, the Lleyn Peninsula, and the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, including Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.

Twit.dads'. The property is at the end of the lane and is easy to find. The lane was fine to drive along. Secondly, the property itself was amazing! We loved our stay there. Very peaceful location and the views are stunning. Will definitely be going back there in the near future.

All very clean two shower rooms one up one downstairs good showers. Two lounges n a utility/bootroom. Fantastic scenery very quiet there are buses 1 mile walk from the cottage at the campsite to Caernarfon n Beddgerlert we used. It is a little difficult to find could add "What 3 words" to pinpoint location n use in Google maps for Satnav. The nearly mile long single track made road had a few nasty potholes and raised grass in the middle in places I didn't think with 5 in my little sporty hatchback that the front spoiler or exhaust would survive, so we used another's car. Lovely

The house was very comfortable. We couldn’t get the main TV to work properly ( really no big issue) Very informative note from the owner about a few minor issues with the house. Dodgy lock on bathroom door etc but I honestly can’t fault this house. We loved it Please get some foam pads for the kitchen chairs as they scraped really loudly
