This charming beach town, sometimes referred to as the "Pearl of Wales on the coasts of Snowdonia," is located only 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town's castle, which dates back to the 13th century, towers over the surrounding landscape, dominating the skyline and providing spectacular views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. The two beaches will be a delight for anyone who enjoy water sports, and the close proximity to the stunning Snowdonia National Park will leave hikers and bikers with plenty of options. Take a leisurely stroll along the beaches, observe porpoises playing in the surf, or unwind in one of the many taverns, restaurants, or tea rooms while enjoying some of the renowned Cadwalader's ice cream. We were a bit surprised to find the property was above a Fish & Chip shop however cooking smells don't enter the flat, the noise was minimal and the Fish and Chips were delicious!. It's in a perfect spot to explore the beautiful town and an easy stroll to the beach, and close to the rail station - highly recommend the very scenic Cambrian rail route to Harlech, Barmouth and beyond. It was easy to find a space in the car park (although worth noting you need to park in the Long Stay section which I think should be included in the check-in instruction before arrival as we needed to move!). A perfect place to enjoy this beautiful part of the world.

The view from the balcony was fab. Lovely bedding and towels. Comfy bed. The stairs are pretty steep so we had to be very careful. Would definitely recommend.

Can not fault it one bit. The kitchen was well equipped, the snug/tv room was a lovely additional room and the balcony was the best feature of the apartment. We wouldâve spent every evening out there in better weather, the view of the castle and coast was beautiful. The apartment is clean, well decorated, maintained, very clean and very well equipped. The one problem we did have was rectified very quickly. John and Rhonwen are great hosts, very friendly, do everything they can to make your stay a lovely and hassle free experience. And the family run fish and chip shop downstairs is not only convenient but their food is the best in the area. We enjoyed our 7 day stay so much we have already rebooked it for next year. Thanks for a great week.
